Vjetrenica cave is an inevitable sight in Bosnia and Herzegovina, being the biggest and most significant cave in the country. It is more than six km long and will surely make you shiver while taking those first steps into the cold and dark. This cave is one of the richest caves in the world in terms of subterranean biodiversity and more than 37 species have been discovered in Vjetrenica. This cave really is a must see when coming in Bosnia and Hercegovina. The drive from Dubrovnik takes around an hour and a half along the Croatian coastline and then into the Bosnian countryside.
