Your one day trip outside of Dubrovnik starts with Cavtat, which is 30 minutes away from Dubrovnik. Cavtat is mostly known for being the birthplace of the famous painter Vlaho Bukovac, whose house has been turned into a museum with his paintings and valuable collection of works. Cavtat has many other attractions for you to see, such as St. Nicholas church, the Franciscan monastery, Racic Mausoleum, etc. When you finish with wightseeing of Cavtat, we continue our trip to Konavle, the area that is mostly known for its production of silk, but also for its beautiful countryside that covers the whole area, as well as good wine. This wine tour will take you to some local wine producers, where your adventure in wine-tasting will begin. You will learn how the wine was made, the secrets of making such a good wine and visit the local vineyards. Once when you finish with wine-tasting, you will surely be hungry enough to have lunch and taste delicious traditional Konavle cuisine. Afterwards, we will head to another fascinating Konavle attraction, “Sokol Kula”. The tower is a medieval tourist attraction, from which you will get the best view of Konavle and its surrounding lands.
